Our favorite Hollywood starlets were out on the red carpet for the 2014 Emmy Awards. While everyone else stalked the Internet to figure out who wore what, I was making sure you beauties knew exactly how to recreate a few of my favorite hairstyles from the red carpet.

From on the red carpet to just being Keke on 106 & Park, she’s one of my favorites and I’ve loved watching her grow up. Keke Palmer has been absolutely nailing every single appearance. Tonight was no different.
“Tonight we decided to go with a simple, chic variation of an”up do” to complement the dress. From the front, the style is very simply pulled back, but once she turns around, you’ll see the interesting detail we created at the back. A classic style, with a twist…literally. – celebrity stylist, Cynthia Alvarez
How To:
CLEANSE Start with clean, dry hair. For natural girls, use the Motions Natural Textures Moisturizing Cleanser
CONDITION Use Motions Nourish Leave-In Conditioner followed by Motions Straight Finish Sealer to detangle and add moisture to the hair in preparation to blow dry straight
TREAT Apply a small amount of Motions Shine Enhancing Pomade to smooth the edges and really define the look
FINISH Part the hair into 3 horizontal sections from the crown to the nape of the neck. Starting at the top, gather the first section back into a ponytail and secure using a snag-less hair tie. Then, make a hole right above the hair tie and loop the ponytail down through, pulling tight to secure. Continue this inverted ponytail at each section, pulling hair from the previous pony into the new one. Set with Motions Light Hold Working Spritz and wrap hair to keep it smooth
STYLE Using the blow dryer, set the hair into place. Once set, remove the wrap and finish with the Motions Oil Sheen & Conditioning Spray. TIP: add some glitzy hair pins at the base of each ponytail for an Award-worthy look!
